Versatile Minnow-Gray Variant

The versatile minnow is a mid sized streamer 2 1/2" long. Tied Clouser style, so the hook point rides up decreasing hangups on the bottom. A zonker strip body and a head made out of Titan dubbing from Nightmare Musky flies. There is plenty of movement. 

This fly can be fished in various ways: it can be slowly dead-drifted or bounced along the bottom to mimic a sculpin, stripped across the stream, or swung at a 45° angle downstream.
This flexibility is what inspired its name, the Versatile Minnow.

The gray variant is excellent for imitating smelt or young-of-the-year fall fish, while the olive version effectively represents sculpins, gobies, banded killifish, and other dark colored baitfish.

Both versions are tied on Gamakatsu B10 S #4 hooks.
